Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! - As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of security experts, the Communications Security Account Manager (CAM) will lead and oversee Communications Security (COMSEC) operations in support of government contracts. The CAM will serve as the primary authority for cryptographic material control, accountability, distribution, and compliance in accordance with NSA, DoD, and Intelligence Community regulations. This position is critical to ensuring the protection of national security information and maintaining operational integrity across secure communications environments. The CAM will strategically implement security into manufacturing and test environments and collaborate with program management and Information Assurance (I.A.) for creation of time-critical documentation. The CAM must have strong security-related experience and knowledge of government security regulations, manuals, and processes, including those outlined in NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16, DoD 5205.07, 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD-704, 705, etc.), and other applicable manuals. The CSSO will have knowledge of Operations Security (OPSEC), Insider Threat Management (ITM), and Physical Security. The CAM will be required to travel, cross-train, and support launch activities. This position will require dedication and commitment, as it will directly impact the history of space exploration and bring Blue Origin closer to the goal of safe and repeatable spaceflight. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in applicable field plus 2 years’ experience Or a high school diploma plus a minimum of 4 years’ experience
  • Working knowledge of DoD, SAP, and IC Directives
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize tasking, and team-driven
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with the security system of record, access control, and other related systems or databases (DIAS/EBIS/DISS/NISS/SC/JADE/SIMS/OnGuard Lenel)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving, growing, and dynamic environment
  • US Citizenship with active Top-Secret clearance and Current SCI access

Responsibilities

  • Support various roles within the Government Security Organization
  • Serve as the designated CAM and primary point of contact for all COMSEC matters
  • Establish, maintain, and manage COMSEC accounts in accordance with NSA Manual 3-16 and applicable DoD directives
  • Maintain strict accountability and inventory control of all Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) and classified cryptographic keying material
  • Conduct required inventories, audits, reconciliations, and self-inspections
  • Oversee receipt, transfer, destruction, and reporting of COMSEC material
  • Coordinate with Government oversight officials, CORs, and security representatives
  • Ensure compliance with DoD 5200-series policies, NSA guidance, and contractual requirements
  • Develop and maintain COMSEC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Write security plans for technical activities requiring COMSEC
  • Provide training and oversight to Alternate COMSEC Custodians, authorized hand receipt holders, and users
  • Immediately report security incidents or discrepancies in accordance with governing policy
  • Support program audits, inspections, and assessments
  • Plan development and implementation of processes, including Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), OPSEC, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Emergency Action Plan (EAP), and other documentation as required per contract
  • Proposal support
