About The Position

TAMKO is seeking a Communications Intern at our Galena, Kansas location to support internal and external communications initiatives, corporate giving activities, and community outreach efforts. This part-time, office-based internship provides hands-on experience in corporate communications, content development, and community engagement while supporting the Director of Communications and broader Communications team. Requirements

Currently enrolled in a college or university and actively pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain organization, and meet deadlines in a professional office environment

Nice To Haves

familiarity with content management systems or digital communication tools is a plus

Responsibilities

Monitor and manage the Communications inbox, including triaging and tracking requests
Track and document all corporate donation and charitable giving activity
Assist with publishing the quarterly Eagle article for internal TAMKO use
Draft and distribute internal announcements and employee communications
Post announcements and updates to the company website
Help streamline charitable giving processes, including check requests and sponsorship tracking
Support coordination of media and press inquiries related to community outreach efforts
Assist with routing marketing and communications contracts and documents through TAMKO’s review process
Help gather, organize, and distribute promotional and swag items for community and outreach events
