Lockheed Martin’s Communications team is seeking an intern to help with executive communications and innovation storytelling. The ideal candidate has communications and/or journalism related coursework and experience and is interested in pursuing a corporate communications career. This intern will join a dynamic team and will have opportunities to support key projects to advance our strategic priorities. This will include generating content across multiple platforms, conducting research to support comms initiatives and supporting executive communications and presentations.

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or similar degree
  • Fundamental understanding of communications strategy, tactics and channels
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and stellar attention to detail.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways
  • Strong, polished interpersonal skills and ability to work with different teams in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating and publishing editorial content for web, social and email
  • Motivated self-starter who performs without appreciable direction and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
