About The Position

We are looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our Communications team. This is a full-time, 12-month, in-person staff position that plays a key role in producing high-quality, engaging and mission-driven content that showcases the life of the school, celebrates its community, and supports strategic initiatives. We are seeking a professional with at least two years of experience in a similar role. Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing, you will be interacting with students, parents, alumnae, faculty and staff to create and edit content for our internal and external communications across a broad spectrum, including social media, the school website, print publications, and more.

Requirements

  • An Excellent Communicator : You are a strong writer and editor with an eye for photography, videography, and graphic design.
  • Highly Organized & Proactive : You can manage multiple projects seamlessly, meet deadlines, and take initiative.
  • A Collaborative Team Player : You excel at working with a variety of people, from students and faculty to outside vendors.
  • Experienced Professional : You have at minimum a BA and at least two years of experience creating content and managing communications, preferably in a school or non-profit setting.
  • Tech-Savvy : You are comfortable learning new systems and platforms and are proficient in digital design tools.
  • Excited to learn and grow .

Nice To Haves

  • A candidate will ideally have experience with content management systems and design software such as Canva, Finalsite, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

  • Create Dynamic Content: Develop, edit, and publish original, mission-aligned content for our school’s social media platforms, manage the content calendar, and use analytics to guide your strategy.
  • Be a Visual Storyteller: As our in-house photographer, seek out and capture impactful moments that highlight our lively academics, traditions, and community, using both photography and videography to tell our stories.
  • Manage Our Digital Presence: Maintain the school’s website, ensuring all content is accurate, timely, and on-brand.
  • Support the Community: Work with the Parents' Association to support their communications needs, including managing a weekly newsletter.
  • Design & Manage Digital Assets: Design digital and print graphics to share important information and engage our community, and maintain our digital asset library.
  • Coordinate Projects: Assist with projects including publications such as our school magazines, from content planning and writing to photography coordination and collaboration with vendors.
  • Analyze and Adapt: Produce regular reports on our content's performance and use that data to improve our effectiveness and inform future goals.
