As a Communications Coordinator, you’ll join the Athletics Department’s communications team and play a key role in shaping how Duke Athletics is seen, heard, and experienced—by fans, media, and the broader Duke community. You’ll collaborate with passionate colleagues, student-athletes, and campus partners to tell compelling stories that reflect Duke’s tradition of excellence, innovation, and impact. Be Bold. What You’ll Do: Manage daily communications responsibilities for assigned Duke Athletics programs Produce media guides, game notes, news releases, and feature stories Create feature content and original coverage for GoDuke.com, the official website of Duke Athletics Respond to media inquiries and support proactive media outreach Staff home events and selected away competitions Supervise statistical crews and other event support personnel Participate in assigned sports’ creative working groups Compile and manage statistics, including researching historical records for Athletics publications Support the broader communications staff with additional departmental needs as assigned Choose Duke.
