About The Position

Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School is seeking 2 talented, creative, and highly organized marketing professional with hands-on skill set in Branding across multiple channels. Our ideal Communications Brand Coordinator will have experience working with/for advertising agencies, finds enjoyment in a fast-paced environment and has the demonstrated ability of working in email marketing, print materials, writing, social media management, web content management, publications and/or campaign management. Experience managing projects with a broad array of marketing channels is preferred as well as experience in balancing multiple, simultaneous priorities while meeting deadlines. Experience and attention to detail will drive your success as you manage projects, campaigns, content production and written communication serving Mays Business School. Your opportunities to contribute Brand Management Facilitate all marketing and communication requests for graduate programs within Mays Business School. Act as primary contact for advertising agency initiatives for each individual graduate program. Develop brand strategies for each program and work with third-party agency to execute against each strategy. Act as liaison and point of communication for all marketing needs, proactively understanding upcoming events and initiatives. Works on requests to assess needs, create a plan, communicate with relevant staff members, assign resources, communicate updates and changes, meet deadlines and evaluate project success post launch. Operate and understand the Mays Business School project management platform. Coordinate photographers and videographers when needed for unit-specific events and initiatives. Digital Communications Management & Writing Create, launch and manage email campaigns in various email marketing platforms, make website updates in web platforms, assist with social media campaigns on unit-specific social platforms, launch and monitor campaign performance in Google Analytics, work in other content management systems. Collaborate with university analytics team to monitor and deliver performance updates on advertising initiatives produced by the marketing team. Write and edit copy for social media posts, email campaigns, website updates and brochures for unit initiatives within Mays Business School. Learning/Researching Research best practices to help maintain efficiencies. Keep abreast of industry advancements and learning opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
  • Three years of experience in communications, digital marketing or marketing field.

Nice To Haves

  • Five years of experience working as a communications coordinator, communications specialist, project manager or similar role on a marketing team.
  • Experience working with or for advertising agencies.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan and execute short and long-term projects that make efficient use of resources, meet deadlines, achieve objectives and maintain morale among staff through the process.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizations skills with the ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to make presentations of different ideas.
