About The Position

The Communications & Digital Media Assistant is responsible for supporting the department’s digital communications, educational media, and marketing initiatives; assists with recording and editing educational video content, drafting website content, supporting social media marketing and engagement efforts. Collaborates with faculty and staff to help produce clear, engaging content that supports the department’s educational and outreach initiatives; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Business or a related field is required
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to draft clear, concise content
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship, academic, or volunteer experience in digital media, communications, or marketing preferred
  • Basic knowledge of video recording and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, iMovie, DaVinci Resolve, or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing practices
  • Basic understanding of website content management systems (CMS) preferred
