Herzog Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a self-motivated and flexible Communication Systems Technician in Albuquerque, NM to join their team. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with RF and/or microwave communications.
  • Knowledge of basic networking.
  • Must be willing and able to work after normal business hours with rotational on call.
  • Basic knowledge of WiFi Systems.
  • Basic knowledge of AC/DC voltage.
  • Knowledge of data transmission, IP networking, and radio frequency (RF) equipment.
  • Knowledge of various cable and connector types including but not limited to CAT 5/6 and RF cabling.
  • Able to install and replace antenna systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot remote connectivity issues.
  • Ability to operate hand tools and power tools in a safe manner.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel to create and edit documentation for detailed record keeping.
  • Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and endorsements as required per position.
  • Pass pre-employment DOT physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.
  • Pass and maintain a DOT medical evaluation to drive a Herzog commercial vehicle.
  • Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or post-secondary training in electronics/telecommunications.
  • Knowledge of the following test equipment: spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, RF power meters, cable network analyzers, multi-meters, and battery test meters.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain RF communication equipment.
  • Support networking, computer systems, Wi-Fi networks, and camera systems.
  • Rotational on-call and prepared to respond to trouble calls at a moment’s notice.
  • Maintains safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt.
  • Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
  • Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.
