About The Position

Colliers Engineering & Design is currently looking for a Commissioning & Energy Project Manager to join our team in New York, NY. May telecommute. Requires travel up to 75% of the time to current project sites in the tri-state area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 y. exp. as an Electrical Engineer working on commercial/ industrial projects including commissioning of HVAC equipment; preparing commissioning functional test sheets, and using AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Facility Grid.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits (25% of the time), including: Acts as primary Client interface to ensure successful delivery of service.
  • Manages Cx projects through the design, construction, and occupancy phases;
  • Manages Retro Commissioning (RCx) projects through the planning, investigation, implementation, turnover, and persistence phases.
  • Writes required engineering reports to close out projects on a timely basis (15% of the time).
  • Creation and review of commissioning documents for projects (25% of the time).
  • Testing equipment—coordinates employees with different specialties as needed to ensure all systems and equipment are properly commissioned.
  • Attending and leading meetings (25% of the time), including: Provides leadership on assigned projects including leading meetings, coordinating contractors, developing meeting agendas and minutes, and communicating with clients and contractors; and
  • Attends owner meetings including project meetings, public building meetings, public building committee meetings, and Board meetings as required.
  • Participates in project interviews and refers leads and opportunities.
