About The Position

THE ROLE: As Commission Specialist you will be instrumental in taking our incentive, billing and analytics processes — as well as our partner operations — to the next level. With your proactive approach, strategic mindset and passion for innovative BI solutions, you will play a key role in a dynamic team, gaining leadership experience and taking end-to-end responsibility in the following areas:

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance or a comparable field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in an analytical or controlling role with responsibility for BI or Data Analytics projects, ideally in a SaaS environment.
  • Solid experience with Power BI or comparable BI tools; initial experience with AI/ML approaches is a plus.
  • Ideally, hands-on experience with Sales Compensation systems (e.g., CaptivateIQ, Xactly or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills, a structured working style and the ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented attitude and a strong team player mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Compensation & Incentive Management: You take full ownership of the sales incentive and compensation process — from designing new commission models, through implementation, to ongoing optimization. You ensure that quotas, commission models, and payments are handled transparently, accurately, and efficiently. You act as the main point of contact for maintaining, developing and optimizing the systems in use (e.g., CaptivateIQ) and ensure they fully support our business goals. You build strong interfaces with Sales, Finance and HR and coordinate all involved stakeholders. You implement quality assurance measures, ensure data integrity, and drive automation to reduce manual effort. You train internal users and actively promote a performance- and incentive-driven culture.
  • License & Partner Management: You are responsible for the accurate billing and management of third-party licenses integrated into our product — from contract design to license monitoring and payment processing. You ensure compliance with license agreements with third-party vendors and conduct regular audits and risk analyses to guarantee compliance and cost transparency. You manage billing and reporting for our sales partners, ensuring smooth collaboration and partnership-based settlement. You act as the primary point of contact for our internal departments (e.g., Finance, Legal, Product) regarding billing topics and relevant contract matters.
  • Business Intelligence & Data Analytics: You build modern dashboards and reports that give stakeholders clear, interactive insights into performance — primarily using Power BI. You carry out in-depth data analyses, identify trends, patterns and key KPIs, and derive sound recommendations for management decisions. You evaluate and implement new AI and automation solutions to optimize forecasts, compensation calculations and reporting processes. You work closely with IT and the Sales organization, harmonize data sources and ensure a high level of data quality.
