About The Position

The Commission Analyst is responsible for accurately calculating, analyzing, and processing sales commissions for the organization. This role ensures timely and precise commission payouts while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience required.
Strong excel and financial management software skills are essential.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
2-4 years of experience in commission calculation, payroll, or financial analysis.
Experience in insurance, brokerage, or sales-driven industries is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Familiarity with Agency Management Systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS 360) is preferred.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of sales compensation plans and commission structures.
Knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Commission Calculation: Calculate sales commissions based on established compensation plans and sales performance data.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with commission structures, policies, and agreements.
Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with sales teams to validate data and resolve discrepancies.
Reporting: Prepare detailed commission reports for management and sales teams.
Provide insights and recommendations based on commission data analysis.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve commission calculation processes.
Implement automation tools and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of commission calculations and payouts.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and audit requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales, finance, and HR teams to ensure alignment on commission structures and payouts.
Address inquiries from sales representatives regarding commission calculations and payments.
