Do you appreciate being part of a dynamic and supportive team? California Energy Commission (CEC) is hiring two Commission Agreement Officers (CAO) to join the Contracts, Grants, & Loans team. Both positions are Associate Governmental Program Analyst state classifications and will be a key part of Administrative and Financial Management Services Division at CEC. Our Commission Agreement Officers will be responsible for complex consultative services in the planning, development, accounting, evaluation, award, fiscal compliance, and reporting of contracts, grants and loans programs. Working independently on fiscal and program activities are an integral part of the CAO responsibilities California Energy Commission is leading the state to a 100 percent clean energy future for all. As the state's primary energy policy and planning agency, the Energy Commission is committed to reducing energy costs and environmental impacts of energy use while ensuring a safe, resilient, and reliable supply of energy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with state contracting including working knowledge of the Public Contract Code, State Administrative Manual, and State Contract Manual.

  • Good problem-solving skills. Addressing potential contract issues or delays and handling modifications.
