About The Position

The Commercial Strategy Team is responsible for understanding brand goals, product focuses, and customer engagement opportunities, then translating these into actionable marketing campaigns and customer experience approaches. The Commercial Strategy Designer supports the journey from strategy to implementation for these initiatives by applying graphic design skills to customer communication for Paper Source. This role primarily focuses on email communication but also contributes to social media posts, wholesale, and custom print assets as needed.

Requirements

Demonstrates proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Resourceful, creative problem solver
Embraces collaboration
Minimum 3 days in office required
BA in Graphic Design and 1-2 years’ experience in design role or equivalent combination of experience and education
Processes a portfolio of work with a broad range of graphic design styles

Nice To Haves

Experience in Smartsheet and asset management systems is a plus
Basic understanding of photography is a plus
1 - 3 years’ retail experience plus

Responsibilities

Create graphic design solutions with a focus on layout, color, type, and various design elements in alignment with both commercial and visual strategies.
Shares work with other designers on the team communicating priorities and bandwidth
Ensures quality and accuracy in proofing self and others.
Ability to adapt graphic design style based on direction given
Participate in various meetings and be open to giving/receiving feedback, while also being responsible for updates on progress and workflow.
Keeps current with trends in graphic design, stationery, home goods, social media and other related industries
Partner with photographer and collaborate on photography workflow timing.
