Commercial Remote Sensing Policy Analyst The Opportunity: With all the information available today, it takes a skilled intelligence expert to know how to find and interpret the best data to give their clients the right answers. We’re seeking your advanced advisory skills to join our customer industry team to help deliver creative solutions to complex problems. The Commercial Remote Sensing Policy Analyst will lead policy development and regulatory analysis for commercial Earth observation activities. This role supports satellite licensing and compliance processes, advises leadership on strategic regulatory issues, and coordinates interagency and international engagements. The analyst will translate technical capabilities into actionable policy guidance and streamline operations through process improvements and automation. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience assisting with drafting and revising policies, regulatory interpretations, and strategic planning documents for commercial remote sensing activities
  • 3+ years of experience in space policy, regulatory affairs, or licensing or compliance
  • 3+ years of experience conducting impact assessments of emerging technologies and market trends on regulatory frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience developing Concept of Operations for commercial remote sensing
  • 3+ years of experience reviewing and evaluating license applications and amendments for compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements such as 15 CFR Part 960
  • 3+ years of experience liaising with civil agencies, the DoD, and the Intelligence Community to harmonize policy positions
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or Public Policy field
  • U.S. citizenship is required

  • Possession of strong writing and briefing skills, for communicating with executive audiences
