About The Position
Reese Roofing & Construction is looking for a Commercial Project Estimator who wants to turn their estimating ability into high earnings and performance-based income. This position is ideal for someone who understands commercial roofing and exterior construction and wants the opportunity to earn well beyond a traditional estimator salary. Instead of simply preparing bids, you’ll play a key role in identifying, pricing, and helping secure commercial projects across the Tampa Bay area. Top performers in this role have the potential to earn six figures through project commissions. This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond a fixed estimator salary and participate in the upside of the projects they help bring in. Requirements
- Experience in construction estimating (commercial preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience performing material takeoffs and project pricing
- Strong attention to detail and cost analysis skills
- Ability to communicate with subcontractors and suppliers
- Organized and capable of managing multiple bids at once
Nice To Haves
- Commercial roofing systems (TPO, modified bitumen, metal roofing, flat roofs)
- Exterior construction or restoration projects
- Experience with estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar tools
Responsibilities
- Review commercial project plans, drawings, and specifications
- Perform takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates
- Develop pricing for commercial roofing and exterior construction projects
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive bids
- Assist in preparing and submitting project proposals
- Collaborate with ownership and project managers to secure projects
- Support project teams during pre-construction planning
