Babcock is looking for a Commercial Officer to join our team in Henderson, supporting the Warship Asset Management Agreement — a major partnership between Babcock, BAE Systems, SAAB and the Commonwealth of Australia, delivering total asset management for the Anzac Class Frigates. This is a fixed‑term role through to 31 December 2026 and offers the chance to work at the heart of one of Australia’s most significant maritime programs. In this position, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Commercial Manager and partnering closely with the Marine Business Unit. You’ll help protect and optimise Babcock’s commercial interests by assisting with contract administration, governance, supplier engagement and day‑to‑day commercial operations. The role involves preparing contractual documents, maintaining commercial records, supporting due‑diligence activities, and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. You’ll also contribute to monitoring performance, identifying risks, and supporting negotiations and contract changes. Strong stakeholder engagement is essential, as you’ll work with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure clear communication and smooth delivery across the program. This role also supports the rollout of commercial training and initiatives that strengthen commercial awareness across the business. If you’re looking for a role that blends commercial acumen, stakeholder management and hands‑on contract support within a high‑profile Defence environment, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a trusted industry leader.
