Position Purpose: The Commercial Manager GRIDs role at the Company is integral to executing our strategic objectives, ensuring our commercial services consistently meet and exceed both national standards and brand-specific requirements. By leading a proficient team and liaising with outsourced vendors, this role is critical in delivering exceptional service excellence encompassing all facets of project management, including takeoffs, MTO preparation, and submittals. With a focus on operational efficiency, market adaptation, and robust stakeholder engagement, the position requires innovative leadership to drive training initiatives, foster collaboration with key sales figures, and spearhead initiatives that align with commercial goals and enhance service delivery across the Company. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Leadership and Vendor Management: Direct and mentor a team of specialists while cultivating productive partnerships with outsourced vendors to maintain superior service delivery in alignment with national and brand-specific standards. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Regional Vice Presidents, Area Sales Managers, and other sales leaders to ensure cohesive project alignment and the seamless integration of services in the regions. - Market Analysis and Service Innovation: Evaluate market trends to tailor services effectively to regional demands; introduce and spearhead innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and service excellence. - Comprehensive Training and Development: Develop and implement robust training programs for both internal teams and external partners, focusing on enhancing the proficiency in the Company's systems, processes, and best practices. - Operational Process Optimization: Routinely assess and enhance operational protocols to boost efficiency, lower costs, and elevate service quality; promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery mechanisms. - Stakeholder Communication and Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong communication channels with stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and vendors, to ensure alignment of objectives and the proactive resolution of potential obstacles. Direct Manager Direct Reports: Reporting Structure: The Commercial Manager GRIDs reports directly to the Director, GRIDS/Commercial Services. This position functions within a dynamic leadership framework, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and strategic objectives. Direct Reports: This role has direct oversight of a team of Project and Design Coordinators. The leader is responsible for managing these reports effectively to achieve operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the service delivery. Travel Requirements: The Commercial Manager GRIDs in the Company is required to travel frequently to manage team operations, coordinate with vendors, and collaborate with regional sales leaders, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the successful implementation of commercial services. Physical Requirements: The Commercial Manager GRIDs role primarily involves standard office-based physical expectations, which include the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, frequently operate a computer and other standard office equipment, and effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders across multiple channels. Occasional travel is required to meet business objectives, which may involve walking through and navigating varied work environments. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 20 pounds. Minimum Qualifications: - Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship. - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. - Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience within the commercial services, construction, or related industries, including substantial experience in managing teams and vendor relationships. - Proven track record of collaborating effectively with sales leaders to align operational strategies with specific brand goals. - In-depth knowledge and experience with project management processes, specifically in takeoffs, MTO preparation, and submittals. - Exceptional leadership capabilities, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Proficiency in industry-standard project management software and tools. - Ability and willingness to travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities and meet organizational objectives.
