Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Intern to join our growing team in Syracuse, NY . This is an opportunity for a paid internship in Syracuse, NY where participants will learn about career potential in the insurance industry. Interns will gain understanding about insurance brokerage, and what operations on the brokerage side look like. In addition, you will gain a general understanding of Brown & Brown’s unique culture, along with our mission and values as an organization. You will also develop some key skills that will benefit you in any future office setting and career journey.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary course of study, preferably in the field of Risk Management, Insurance or Business Administration.
- Self-Direction – The internal drive to excel in a chosen path; a desire to make continual improvement on oneself.
- Attitude - Exhibits an attitude which is positive, open to new ideas, and committed to achieving the desired results.
- Communication Skills - Communicates clearly and accurately using written, verbal and electronic methods.
Responsibilities
- Execute assigned projects and tasks with detail and high quality, while meeting all deadline expectations.
- Gains experience in their assigned department through networking and job shadowing.
- Explores other areas of interest to include learning more about the facets of the company, both within and outside of the assigned department.
- Additional duties as assigned.
