About The Position

An internship with the Hilb Group offers students the opportunity to explore multiple career paths within a growing insurance brokerage. As a rapidly expanding organization, we provide hands-on learning experiences and exposure to real-world projects that support both personal and professional development. Interns work closely with experienced team members, gain insight into our business operations, and contribute to meaningful client support initiatives. You will also have the opportunity to travel to our corporate office in Richmond, VA, where you’ll connect with fellow interns, network with company leaders, and participate in a volunteer event. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Curious, motivated, and eager to learn about the insurance industry and grow professional

Nice To Haves

• Preferred majors include, Risk Management & Insurance, Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields

Responsibilities

• Shadow Account Managers and participate in client-facing and internal meetings to gain real-world exposure
• Support data management initiatives and assist with special projects across teams
• Collaborate with team members on day-to-day operational and administrative tasks
• Learn the proposal process and present a proposal to the intern team at the end of the internship
• Develop a foundational understanding of the insurance industry, brokerage operations, and client service models
