About The Position

Are you a master of organization with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for the business side of law? We are looking for a proactive Commercial Legal Assistant to join our team Gurstel Law Firm P.C. – Commercial Legal Assistant JOB SUMMARY as a Commercial Legal Assistant you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: Complete complex legal tasks, in addition to legal support staff functions in all states in which the Firm operates. Assist in preparing files; review, draft, file, and serve legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence. Follow, create, and maintain standard operating procedures. Demonstrates the Firm’s core values in interactions with co-workers, attorneys, clients, the courts, and consumers. Scanning, photocopying, collating, and faxing. Legal data entry. Handle client inquiries. Ability to multitask. High level of attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, ability to prioritize deadlines and commitments. Ability to communicate in an effective manner. Strong customer service skills. Self-Starter and motivated. Experience with Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to extract information from the firm’s software to create reports or summaries for managing attorneys and or the Director of the Department 50+ WPM typing skills Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time Ability to bend, lift, or carry up to 20 pounds All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Legal field certificate/2-year degree (experience may be substituted for education)
  • Background in civil litigation required, background in Creditors Rights Laws preferred
