About The Position

A day in the life Your morning begins at home, where you’re dispatched to your first service call. One day it’s a busy laundromat with a bank of vended dryers; the next, it’s a hospital linen room or a workout facility’s laundry area. You arrive prepared to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues across multiple makes and models—washers, dryers, ironers—and you keep customers informed at every step so they know what’s happening and why. Between visits, you log your service notes, time, parts used, mileage, and fuel. You coordinate with the service manager, parts department, and vendors to keep jobs moving, and you take pride in a well-maintained toolkit and company vehicle. When larger projects arise, you jump in with our install crews to get new equipment delivered and set up. Throughout the day, your professionalism and positive attitude strengthen customer relationships and reflect the pride you take in your craft. The ideal candidate will be located within the Knoxville, TN area. What you’ll do Troubleshoot and repair on-premise and vended commercial laundry equipment. Install replacement parts and complete accurate service documentation (time, materials). Record travel activities, including mileage and fuel purchases. Communicate clearly with customers to ensure understanding and satisfaction. Collaborate with the service manager, parts team, and vendors for timely, quality outcomes. Care for tools, service equipment, and a company-supplied service vehicle. Assist install crews with equipment installations and deliveries. Handle additional tasks as needed to support efficient department operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of mechanical repair experience (laundry equipment experience is a plus).
  • Equivalent education/training/experience considered.
  • Comfort with electrical testing tools and other diagnostic/programming tools.
  • Experience with telephone and email/ticketing dispatch systems preferred.
  • Computer savvy with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude: read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics; proficient with multimeters.
  • Organized and detail-focused; capable of self-managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Clear, professional communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Resilient in the face of ambiguity and change; a proactive self-starter with tenacity.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record.

  • laundry equipment experience is a plus
