About The Position

Commercial and personal line insurance carriers rely on EXL as a key business partner through our Castle High Value and EXL Risk Control service offerings. EXL offers a variety of field inspection and risk control services to support clients’ underwriting processes. EXL’s consultants deliver industry-leading professionalism, quality and turn-around time, and innovative solutions help clients keep ahead of the competition. EXL Risk Control is looking for self-directed independent contractors who possess excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and timeliness standards. Inspectors will work from their own home or office, and service onsite survey/inspection assignments in the Saginaw, MI area, and other locations within approximately 100 miles of Saginaw. Risk Control Inspectors evaluate businesses behind the scenes to identify hazards and improve safety, mitigating risks for insurance company clients. The type of businesses surveyed are commercial operations, including retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction jobsites, churches, schools, etc. Most surveys are focused on assessing the business for Property and General Liability coverage, but also service other commercial insurance lines of business including Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine and Builders Risk.

  • Scheduling on-site surveys
  • Providing risk control reports to insurance industry clients
  • Managing assignments accepted
  • Successfully securing customer appointments within a local territory
  • Completing work assignments on time
  • Evaluating businesses to identify hazards and improve safety, mitigating risks for insurance company clients
  • Assessing businesses for Property and General Liability coverage
  • Servicing other commercial insurance lines of business including Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine and Builders Risk
