About The Position

EXL Risk Control is seeking self-directed independent contractors who possess excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and a commitment to meeting client quality and timeliness standards. This role involves working from a home or office and servicing onsite survey/inspection assignments in the Kenner / Metairie, LA area, and other locations within approximately 35 miles. Inspectors are responsible for scheduling on-site surveys and providing risk control reports to insurance industry clients. These reports contain information necessary to underwrite a commercial insurance policy and may include recommendations to control and/or correct potential loss producing conditions. The work involves evaluating various commercial operations, including retail, restaurants, hotels, apartments, construction jobsites, churches, and schools, to identify hazards and improve safety, thereby mitigating risks for insurance company clients. Most surveys focus on assessing businesses for Property and General Liability coverage, but also include other commercial insurance lines such as Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, and Builders Risk.
