About The Position

The Cross Family of Agencies welcomes you. We need your talent and expertise. We are seeking a Commercial Insurance Sales Account Manager to support Eli Zimmer in delivering exceptional service to clients. This role involves assisting with client communications, preparing quotes, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth operations throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a sales-minded mindset with a competitive nature and preferably a deep understanding of commercial insurance products and the Applied Epic Management System. This is a predominantly internal position but can be client-facing at times due to the need for potential customer interaction. This detail-oriented position also includes coordinating renewals and interfacing with members of the commercial lines service team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in commercial insurance preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically excel and Applied Epic
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining close alignment with Eli Zimmer’s workflow and priorities.
  • A proactive, service-oriented mindset with a commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of carrier appetite over time.
  • This position will require a minimum of 3-4 days in office.

  • Comfort with personal lines would be a benefit but not required.
  • A sales-minded mindset with a competitive nature and preferably a deep understanding of commercial insurance products and the Applied Epic Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct administrative and operational support to Eli Zimmer.
  • Assist in preparing and coordinating the processing of insurance quotes, proposals, and applications.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation in Applied Epic and updating Salesforce.
  • Communicate with clients (as directed) to gather necessary information and provide updates on policy status.
  • Coordinate with underwriters and carriers to ensure timely processing of applications, endorsements, and renewals.
  • Manage renewal timelines and support the completion of Cross-commercial checklists.
  • Interface with the commercial lines service team to ensure alignment and continuity in client service.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing correspondence, and preparing reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve client inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare Surplus lines/ Binding Documents for signature
  • Assist with managing Eli Zimmer’s Email inbox.
  • Become a marketing resource by developing an understanding of carrier markets.
