Commercial HVAC Installer - Foreman Swift Air Mechanical specializes in Commercial and Residential HVAC Services and is located on the Northeast side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead, supervise, and coordinate daily activities of installation crews on commercial job sites Read, interpret, and manage project blueprints, specifications, and installation schedules Oversee the installation of furnaces, air conditioning systems, rooftop units, and make-up air units (MAUs) Direct ductwork fabrication and installation to ensure compliance with design and code requirements Supervise the installation of exhaust fans, louvers, radiant heating systems, and ventilation equipment Manage gas and water piping installations in accordance with safety and mechanical codes Ensure proper system startups, testing, and commissioning of HVAC equipment Coordinate closely with project managers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades Monitor job progress, productivity, and quality to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget Enforce company safety policies, PPE requirements, and job-site best practices Train, mentor, and evaluate apprentices and junior technicians Order, track, and manage job-site materials, tools, and equipment Review and approve job documentation, daily reports, and closeout paperwork Maintain organization and cleanliness of job sites, vehicles, and equipment Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work culture Identify field challenges early and recommend solutions to leadership Qualifications and Requirements: Minimum of 4+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience, including lead or supervisory responsibilities. Proven experience managing crews and overseeing large-scale installation projects. Advanced knowledge of HVAC equipment, duct systems, piping, and installation best practices. Strong understanding of local, state, and national mechanical codes. Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multiple trades and project stakeholders. Experience performing system startups and commissioning. Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management abilities. High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to train, coach, and develop technical staff. Physically capable of performing field work, including lifting to 50 pounds and working in varied environments. Willingness to consistently wear required PPE and enforce safety standards. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to pass background screening and any required job-site clearances. Requirements
