The Role: The Commercial Electric Estimator will be responsible for figuring out how much a generator project will cost for commercial buildings before it's built- and helps win the job. This is a remote position but candidates residing in the Atlanta area is preferred with the ability to travel to pre-bid sites and our local Atlanta Support Center.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the commercial/industrial electrical space
  • Strong electrical knowledge, especially as a commercial electrical estimator
  • Experience with estimating software (Accubid, Bluebeam, ConEst, Excel)
  • Must be highly skilled in estimating electrical projects, including accurately allocating labor hours and materials
  • Hungry, humble and smart
  • Representing the brand in a positive light, being the face of the company
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Relationship oriented- leverage your current relations as well as building new ones

Nice To Haves

  • Generator expertise is not required but a huge plus

Responsibilities

  • Review and gather bids (2-4 bids a day on average)
  • Gather information and obtain an accurate price to send to the OEM
  • Determine generator size and scope
  • Estimate labor and materials such as generator unit, switchgear, wiring, fuel systems, etc.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and network with general contractors
  • Prepare bids and proposals including timeline, pricing and exclusions
  • Coordinate with sales, project managers and OEM's
