About The Position

Alliance Catholic Credit Union is seeking an exceptional and experienced Commercial Consultant who thrives in a well-organized, fast-paced, and multi-task driven environment. This position will be reporting directly to the VP of Lending at our Farmington Hills location. The ideal candidate: Responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the Credit Union’s commercial services, including business loan products and related commercial ancillary services. Supports sustainable loan growth by driving appropriate volume, profitability, and portfolio quality while maintaining minimal delinquency levels. Ensures professional business relationships are established and maintained with members, vendors, the business community, and trade organizations. Assists Senior Management with both long‑ and short‑term Credit Union planning related to commercial lending. Regularly analyzes and evaluates the performance and effectiveness of commercial lending products and services. Conducts periodic reviews of commercial lending policies to ensure continued effectiveness and compliance with evolving regulations, legal requirements, and industry best practices. Ensures business loans and related relationships are managed effectively to meet the needs of borrowers while protecting the Credit Union’s interests. A successful candidate will be an approachable team player with a personable and professional demeanor, a desire to learn and driven to achieve outstanding results---accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Five to ten years of progressive lending experience within a credit union or comparable financial institution
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Technical knowledge of lending concepts, practices, procedures, and financial statements along with working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, statutes, and filing requirements related to lending, collections, insurance, and related functions are required.
