About The Position

Innovative Concrete, LLC is searching for a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Concrete Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting project managers in the planning and execution of concrete projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and are delivered on time. This position involves collaborating with both internal teams and external stakeholders, facilitating communication to keep all project components aligned. Requirements

  • Strong organizational and time management skills are essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, representing Innovative Concrete in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and possess a valid driver's license.
  • Able to pass a federal criminal background check.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
  • 2+ years of experience in project engineering or construction management, preferably in a concrete environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in completing assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Review contract documents and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate and distribute project documentation including plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs for materials and prepare submittals.
  • Monitor project progress and report on status to project management.
  • Collaborate with field personnel and subcontractors to address any site-related issues.
  • Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in weekly project meetings, providing engineering updates and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of change orders and claims.
  • Ensure that safety protocols are strictly followed on-site.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including schedules, cost control measures, and documentation of project changes.
  • Support the project closeout process by ensuring all documentation is completed and filed properly.
