We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused Business Development Manager to join our high-performing Northern Region Commercial Markets team, based in Auckland. Relationship building sits at the heart of this role. You’ll work closely with our broker network to grow the region and strengthen Ando’s presence across a broad commercial portfolio. Partnering closely with one of our Commercial Underwriters, you’ll focus on sustainable growth, strong broker engagement, and delivering great outcomes for customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in General Insurance is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting principles & the ability to communicate them effectively to others.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory and legislative environment impacting the insurance products underwritten.
  • Adept at using systems to deliver and manage outcomes and evaluate progress against commercial targets. Manipulates tools to learn required insights.
  • Comfortable with analytical tools & statistical packages e.g. spreadsheets, SSP, databases.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant insurance industry qualifications will be highly regarded (ANZIIF Cert/Dip)
