About The Position

Responsible for managing all financial activities of the Commercial Accounts department.
Hourly Entry Position
Level 4

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year degree in accounting
• 2-3 years’ experience in accounting or accounting related field
• Strong data entry and 10-key skills
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines on time
• Intermediate to advanced level of Excel and Word
• Strong analytical and organizational skill with the ability to prioritize and multi=task

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with customers to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payment based on approved terms.
• Communicates issues and concerns with salesmen and Director
• Acts as liaison with internal and external departments to properly process shortages, damage claims, and ensure proper payment is applied
• Work closely with MDI Controller to provide period ending reports for revenue and expenses to be used for the Consolidation Services periodic financial statement
• Attend weekly A/R meetings with VP Finance to update any outstanding A/R issues or concerns
• Coordinate and maintain vendor discounts and contracts offered to department and passed to CAPS
• Provides documentation for vendors through various billback programs and contracted deals
• Manage Dept Check Book for payables to MDI
• Manage and support Dept. Pass Thru Accounts by direction of Dept Director
• Instructs all new Commercial Account and Consolidation Services customers how to make remittance
• Supports department customers with documentation and efforts to train on MDI InTouch
• Provides invoice support and training on submission processes
• Supports both Commercial Accounts staff as well as Consolidation Services staff with regards to the billing of customers and collections
• Collaborates with Export Compliance Specialist and Account Representatives to ensure all billings and documentation for each order are correct and complete
