As a Columbia River Fishery Sampler (Biological Science Assistant) for the Ocean Salmon & Columbia River Program (OSCRP) in Astoria, Oregon, you will: Collect catch and effort data from recreational fisheries on the lower Columbia River Collect information on commercial fisheries Participate in commercial fishery monitoring, test fishing, hatchery sampling, coded-wire tag recovery, and tagging projects The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
