About The Position

The Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB) is a Deaf- and Blind-led academy where language, leadership, and learning come together to spark growth, pride, and authenticity. CSDB is committed to partnering with the communities we serve and aspires to build generations of thinkers, makers, and leaders who positively influence and transform the world. Through CHIP, every family will feel confident, informed, and well-equipped-as the expert-to raise their child who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing to thrive in their home and community. The Colorado Home Inclusion Program (CHIP) celebrates and empowers all families and children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing throughout their early education journey. In partnership with families and local programs, CHIP incorporates evidence-based best practices to support whole-child development. The CHIP Coordinator serves as the central point of contact for families of children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH), birth to age three. This role facilitates connections to early-intervention services, manages CHIP Facilitator assignments, and assists families in understanding their child's unique abilities. The Coordinator provides balanced materials, resources, training, and information regarding all communication opportunities that support language acquisition. The CHIP Coordinator also connects families to community resources, builds partnerships with local agencies, schools, and parent networks, and mentors CHIP Facilitators to ensure consistent, equitable, evidence-based support statewide.
