We are currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to fill the role of Color Lab Technician. This full-time, day shift position is based in Mifflintown, PA, and offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to a culture built on quality, integrity, and teamwork. The Color Lab Technician is responsible for the mixing and testing of solvent-based paints, stains and other coating materials on wood components. This position is also responsible for color match verification and quality assurance of parts finished. The Color Lab Technician will work closely to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure product details and specifications are met

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Valid state-issued motor vehicle license
  • Experience working in paint lab or mixing paint preferred
  • Experience with computer applications preferred
  • Great verbal and written communication
  • Great interpersonal skills and teamwork oriented
  • Good "color eye" is required
  • Experience spraying paint preferred
  • Good math and analytical skills

  • Support the Care values of the organization.
  • Commit to producing a quality product for our customers.
  • Measuring out and catalyzing material as needed. Ensuring quality application of coatings in compliance with set quality standards, adjusting spraying equipment for proper application.
  • Coordinating and communication with other departments for product details and specifications.
  • Cross-train and support other positions within the finishing and corresponding departments.
  • Maintaining spray application as advised by our paint/finish provider. Possessing the ability to learn all species of wood used for production and finish colors by sight. Learning and maintaining knowledge of basic hazardous waste generator responsibilities. Accurately labeling containers for paints, stains, cleaning solvents and hazardous waste. Properly disposing of used finishing products in the designated hazardous waste accumulation points. Adhering to all OSHA, EPA, federal, state and local laws.
