Working with minimal supervision, position requires production of color formulations and microlots in fulfillment of customer matching requests and orders. Responsibilities include proper selection of colorants, both type and quantity, to obtain high-quality non-metameric color matches balancing all customer CTQ's, including cost and adjustability, as well as production of microlots including weighup, adjustment, production and shipping. Must be able to create and adjust formulas for color matches and microlots both visually and using software and instruments. Products include all grades produced by SABIC's Innovative Plastics business. How You Can Be the Impact Secondary responsibilities include project work such as re-formulations, process improvements, new colorant evaluation support and qualifying new products. The technician will work with the color process leader, lead tech and shift leader to complete qualification and certification criteria based on their assigned training schedule.
