The Rochester Knighthawks are seeking a Color Analyst in Rochester, NY.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in broadcast journalism
  • Familiarity with broadcasting equipment, audio editing software, and remote broadcasting technology
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the team schedule
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations
  • Creative mindset with the ability to adapt quickly top changing circumstances
  • Team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

  • Provide color analysis during broadcasts of Knighthawks games, including pre-game, in-game, and post game commentary
  • Provide expert analysis and insights into the game, player's strategies, and key moments
  • Research teams, players, and game statistics to be well-informed and prepared for each broadcast, ensuring accurate and insightful commentary
  • Conduct interviews with players, coaches, and other personnel, as needed
