About The Position

Lab Monitor is a customer-service and asset protection position, providing a visible point of contact at the main computer lab at the State Farm Hall of Business. The successful candidate must be timely, dependable, and communicate readily with others. Daily duties include: - Assisting with printing in the main lab - Basic software help and computer troubleshooting - Enforcing safety rules (e.g., mask rules, etc.) - Tidying and contact surface cleaning (keyboards, mice, etc.) on a schedule - Checking and reporting computers that need service - Answering questions about the building (e.g., “Where is the advising department?” etc.) - Evening classroom support as needed, troubleshooting technology issues - Other duties as assigned, such as reconfiguring classrooms or lab space.

Requirements

  • Timeliness, reliability, and communication skills are essential and required; teammates ending a shift often need to go to a class.
