About The Position

The College of Business IT Student Technician provides technical assistance to the faculty, staff, students, and visitors. This includes communication through phone, email, chat, and in-person methods. It is important to possess the skills necessary to identify and solve technical issues while keeping accurate documentation through our IT ticketing/helpdesk system. The technician needs to have excellent communication skills and offer good customer service to both technical and non-technical members of the College. Our support team provides user-friendly assistance covering various areas such as applications, connectivity, printing, classroom and lab technology, and more. We troubleshoot and provide hardware support for desktops, laptops, and other devices, including updates/patches, approved security configurations, applications, and more. You will create documentation of inventory records for assets, including hardware, software licenses, checkout/loaner equipment, and others. Our video conferencing support is tailored to assist faculty, staff, and students in a live classroom/conference environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Regular attendance is a requirement and expectation of the position.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work this upcoming summer break and work a minimum of 15 hours per week, up to 24 hours a week

Responsibilities
