About The Position

The College Navigator/Enrollment Services Specialist is a combined full-time position at the Spring Valley and Glenwood campuses where duties and responsibilities will be in both areas and hours may fluctuate depending on specific needs to serving students. Under the direction of campus Student Affairs leadership, the College Navigator responsibilities include working directly with targeted college students, in particular recent high school graduates, to provide support and maximize student success, retention and completion. Under the direction of campus Student Affairs leadership, the Enrollment Services Specialist responsibilities include assisting with student recruitment, enrollment processes, registration, financial aid guidance, and record keeping. The ability to work cooperatively with faculty and administration at assigned campus. Prerequisites for the Position (Qualifications Standards) Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position. Examples may include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and one year related work experience; or, an Associate’s Degree and two years related work experience, or a High School Diploma/GED and three years related work experience or equivalent education and experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill and abilities to perform the functions of the position. Special Skills or abilities related to positions: Provide academic and collegiate mentoring of college students; data collection and analysis of student performance and related work; strong written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to positively interact and engage students in an academic setting that is welcoming and responsive to students’ academic and career goals. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities. Knowledge of and skills related to standard Microsoft Office software. Familiarity with other software such as Access, Publisher, Photoshop, and other design software helpful. Operate variety of office equipment; proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and electronic mail; meet deadlines; strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Hiring range = $47,798.40 - $53,102.40 ($22.98 - $25.53 hourly) annual salary depending upon a combination of education and experience. CMC utilizes a wage progression compensation model that accounts for a candidate’s skill and experience. Although a salary range is listed, salary will be set commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Position anticipated to close on November 14, 2025, or until filled.

Responsibilities

  • Direct support of targeted CMC students Establish positive and trusting relationships with target students.
  • Advise and assist in academic planning with target students.
  • Along with student services team, coordinate and/or provide services to support success, persistence and completion among target population.
  • Facilitate student success by creating peer networks among target students.
  • Foster student accountability, self-advocacy, self-awareness, and effective use of resources.
  • Campus Communication and Collaboration Solicit student feedback to guide continuous improvement of services.
  • Communicate with campus student services leadership about the progress and needs of target students.
  • Outreach Meet local senior high school students, and connect prospective students to CMC admission processes, including financial aid, academic advising, and academic and student support services.
  • Collaborate with community and campus partners to maintain and strengthen student support network and training pipeline.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Processing student admissions applications.
  • Organizes applicant communications.
  • Assists students with tuition classification questions.
  • Assist with Front Line Financial Aid Counseling including: FAFSA/CASFA assistance Explore financing options Provides Self-Service guidance from Financial Aid to Student Finance
  • Supports and mentors other Enrollment Services staff and the Student Affairs Team.
  • Assists with Admissions planning, organization, and coordinating of student registration activities including Campus Tours, Visit Days, New Student Registration Events, New Student Orientation, Concurrent Enrollment Students, and College Bridge Program.
  • Processing and maintenance of student records.
  • General administrative tasks and procedures including maintaining lists and files, data collection, data analysis, and preparing reports; scheduling; and student-focused service.
  • Other duties as assigned.
