About The Position

This position is responsible for the review of written-off loans. The Collector will locate and contact debtors in an attempt to recover all or part of the amount owed. This recovery process involves various methods such as securing payment in full, negotiating a compromise or settlement, setting up monthly payment plans, and initiating litigation if deemed necessary. The role also requires the production of correspondence reports and other related materials.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of collection procedures and related laws and regulations
Basic understanding of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code
Understanding of Small Claims Court system
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in stressful situations
