Requirements

  • The candidate must be a member of good standing of the Colorado Bar
  • 3+ years of legal experience, preferably in collections, creditors’ rights, or civil litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and relevant state laws.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional Bar licenses are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of assigned collection cases from inception through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings
  • Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements with opposing counsel and debtors.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategy and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case documentation in case management systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to client guidelines and firm policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including litigation support and compliance.
