About The Position

The Department Developer Enablement, a function of the CTO organization, aims to make it easy and enjoyable for software engineering teams to deliver innovative product solutions. This involves improving tools, streamlining processes, automating controls, and helping teams adopt modern working methods. Engineers are crucial for building innovative tooling within the department. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will build high-profile products, collaborate with peers, and enhance your skillset, participating in all product steps from idea to execution. As a Collaboration Engineer, you will demonstrate a deep understanding of user needs and IT automation, contributing to the overall product vision by delivering Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration tools to a large enterprise customer base.

Requirements

8+ Years of experience working in IT systems and automation
Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer in product teams
Strong experience customizing enterprise software
Experience delivering Java/SpringBoot or JavaScript code with a Mongo database to production
Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in an agile software development environment
Able to identify and solve problems effectively
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A strong product mindset, putting the user requirements at the forefront of decision making
Connected to latest technologies such as Generative AI, and keen to put them in practice
Pragmatic, and a creative approach to managing risk
A growth mindset and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Experience with Kafka, Kafka Streams, and managing large volumes of data

Responsibilities

Create scripts and customizations to vendor tools
Design, develop, and test software applications
Work closely with other team members to ensure that the software is developed and delivered on time and within budget
Set the standards for what good looks like; High quality software and great user experiences
Ensure our software platforms are compliant with Citi's security and Software Development Life Cycle processes
Work with a wide variety of teams across the organisation and help drive them towards an everything-as-code and a codified controls mind-set
Support and drive cultural change, instigating critical thinking about controls and processes and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement
