About The Position
FUN and SPECTACULAR CUSTOMER SERVICE are at the heart of the Casino @ Dania Beach. Working at our casino is about providing the best service and being a great team player! Join as a Cocktail Waitress in our Food & Beverage Team and be part of the fun and excitement.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of beverages both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to lift trays of beverage items weighing up to 30 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours.
- Enthusiastic and energetic.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Will be required to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends and holidays.
- May be required to assist customers in an open, well-ventilated, semi-enclosed terrace where cigarette and cigar smoking is permitted.
- Must apply and obtain the appropriate state occupational gaming license, which includes lifetime FBI criminal background check.
- Must pass drug testing as per company's Drug Free Workplace Policy and applicable background checks.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma preferred.
- 2+ years of previous experience working as a Cocktail Server preferred.
Responsibilities
- Takes orders and serves beverage items to guests in a timely, friendly, enthusiastic and professional manner using suggestive selling techniques.
- Serves food to guests.
- Ensures that guests are served in accordance to State and local guidelines regarding the service of alcohol, including checking identification.
- Determines when a guest has had too much alcohol and contacts the manager on duty or security for assistance.
- Is able to take care of several orders at once.
- Describes all beverage items, prices and methods of preparation.
- Controls guest checks to secure proper payment.
- Maintains an opening and closing check list.
- Answers general customer inquiries as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
