Requirements

• A natural connector, you are warm, unhurried, and genuinely at ease with older adults.
• Detail-oriented and consistent; you take quality of service seriously even during busy periods.
• Dependable and punctual, residents and colleagues count on you.
• A team player who communicates well and steps up when the situation calls for it.
• Someone who understands that this role is about much more than food, it is about belonging.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods; lift up to 25 lbs as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in food service, dining, or hospitality preferred; senior living experience a plus.
• Familiarity with kosher dietary laws is beneficial; training will be provided.
• Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred or willingness to obtain.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set, maintain, and clear dining tables with attention to detail and resident dignity.
• Take meal orders and serve food and beverages in accordance with Tamarisk's standards and each resident's preferences and dietary needs.
• Anticipate resident needs by refilling drinks, adjusting pace, and providing accommodations, before being asked.
• Foster warm, respectful relationships with residents and their families, learning names and preferences over time.
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of meal service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment before, during, and after each meal service.
• Assist with special events, themed dinners, and holiday celebrations as needed.
• Adhere to food safety protocols at all times.
