QUICK FACTS Location: South Madison - 3201 Latham Drive, Madison, WI Pay: $21.84-25.96/hour (based on education) Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Full Year WHAT WE OFFER Comprehensive Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Generous Paid Time Off & Holidays 403(b) Retirement with Employer Match (after 2 years) Company-Paid Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Flexible Spending Accounts Public Service Loan Forgiveness Eligible Employer Work-Life Excellence & Professional Growth Model/demonstration classroom leadership role Co-teaching partnership with Lead/4K Teacher Mentoring and training opportunities with new teachers Supervision and leadership responsibilities with reporting staff No weekends, only occasional evenings Comprehensive professional development: ongoing coaching, paid continuing education, and credential support Career advancement pathways with organizational training support QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED Education: Minimum: Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 ECE credits Registry Requirements: Level 12 or above Experience: Minimum 3 years teaching experience preferred Specialized Knowledge: Head Start Program Performance Standards, Early Childhood Development theory, Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework Language: Bilingual in Spanish and/or Hmong desirable Additional: Experience working with young children and diverse populations required WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Co-Teacher, you'll share leadership responsibilities by: Collaborating with Lead/4K Teacher to plan, design, and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum Serving as primary childcare provider for children ages 3-5 in Head Start programming Leading a model/demonstration classroom that serves as a training site for new teachers Actively participating in training and mentoring new educators Implementing agency-approved curriculum across Head Start's five essential domains: language and literacy, cognition, approaches to learning, physical development, and social emotional development Following families' cultural values and practices while reinforcing parents' role as primary educators Ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and Head Start Performance Standards Maintaining a safe, healthy, and culturally responsive learning environment Acting as positive liaison between community agencies and families Establishing daily lesson plans and age-appropriate developmental experiences WHO WE ARE At Reach Dane, we're reimagining early childhood education as a powerful tool for social transformation.
