Co-Op Packaging Engineer
About The Position
A Co-op engineer’s role is dynamic. The specifics may change to meet the specific needs of the business. Below are a few of the key responsibilities and roles. Time frame: 3 months Design and develop quality protocols for new product offerings such as EZ-Go Flat, CubePak, Home compostable films, and EZPak. Evaluate equipment reliability for two of the Ultrapak lines – Line 4 and line 7. For this analysis the characterization of the loss of productivity and down time to set up will be analyzed by the time needed to complete the tasks or the lost time from productivity losses. Develop and validate sealing capability using the current band sealer at Ultrapak. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce material usage, improve performance consistency, and lower total package cost.
