Requirements

  • College students in Construction Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Interns are required to work 40+ hour weeks, preferable when the student is taking a semester away from school.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Outlook, Smart Devices, Dropbox, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential to handle a variety of tasks effectively.
  • A degree of travel is required for the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Soliciting quotes from subcontractors and suppliers for equipment, materials, and services.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to clarify scope, schedule, and pricing.
  • Support development of work plans, schedules, and sequencing for complex projects.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs for materials.
  • Attend site visits and document site conditions.
  • Assist in building cost estimates.
  • Track addenda, clarifications, and scope changes during the bid process
  • Help prepare bid packages and assist with submissions.
