About The Position

We are looking to add an Excellent CNC Operator/Programmer to lead our CNC Department as we scale! The CNC Lead is responsible for operating and programming our 3-axis CNC router to cut parts needed to fabricate our guest facing components out of a variety of materials including: Plywood, MDF, Acrylic, ACM, HDPE and more. Additional responsibilities include:  Maintenance and repair of our CNC Machine coordinating with vendors as needed. Maintaining sheet good inventory and working with our purchasing team to replenish stock. Reviewing Engineered drawings and tool pathing parts as required. Maintaining an organized library of parts and cut files in Google Drive. Maintaining an adequate inventory of consumables (Router bits). As with all roles at our company, we expect our team members to be willing to bring flexibility and a positive attitude to their day-to-day work. If we need help packing a truck, we pack the truck. If the floors need sweeping, etc.

Requirements

  • Loves to win and takes pride in delivering a quality product under the estimated hours.
  • Clear and effective communicator.
  • Ability to read and interpret build docs and fabrication drawings.
  • Self starter able to operate independently.
  • 5+ years of experience operating a 3-axis CNC Router in a production environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Solidworks is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Program cut files and toolpaths using VCarve for our 3-axis CNC router.
  • Create, organize and maintain appropriate cut files in Google Drive.
  • Work hand in hand with Engineering to address any issue discovered during the fabrication process.
  • De-burring and sanding parts as they come off the machine.
  • Nesting parts with waste reduction in mind.
  • Perform quality checks on all parts cut in the CNC department 
  • Maintenance and repair of our CNC Machine. This includes coordinating with vendors as needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment.
  • Maintain accurate entries in Production tracking software (Fulcrum) for time tracking and project progress.
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations in alignment with OSHA standards.
  • Contribute to the component R&D process, as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support operational needs.
