CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer
About The Position
The position requires monitoring, set-up, and operating CNC turning machines to cut steel for the round tool cutting industry. Operators must be capable of programming and setting up the machines without assistance. Daily Functions: Download programs and perform set-ups per print on existing tools Write machine programs for new tools using Fanuc control Keep multiple machines running during work shift unassisted Perform basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance and machine cleaning Upon completion, perform quality part checks to print Make normal machine program adjustments Change and adjust tooling as required Achieve standard daily production rates Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5-10 years of machine experience preferred (Fanuc control)
- Able to read and understand blue prints
- Able to use measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
- Understand machining properties of different materials
- Effective communication skills
- Prolonged standing and bending
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
