About The Position

At Rustica, we pride ourselves on craftsmanship, innovation, and quality. We’re looking for a skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to bring precision and expertise to our custom door production line. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and central to taking our fabrication processes to the next level. If you have a passion for high-quality woodworking, attention to detail, and experience in CNC programming and operation, we’d love to have you on our team.

Requirements

  • Prior experience programing and operating a CNC Machine- Mastercam or similar software experience required
  • Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings
  • Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete intermediate mathematical calculations
  • Ability to write routine reports, operating instruction and correspondence
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to troubleshoot situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, sometimes chaotic, setting
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Willingness to learn and grow while taking on new assignments

Nice To Haves

  • Prior woodworking experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Meet daily, weekly and monthly production objectives by implementing effective processes and procedures
  • Effectively program and set-up the machine to perform the relevant jobs assigned by engineering
  • Efficiently translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production
  • Regularly ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company
  • Oversee the machine during production and ensure the machine is producing the desired results
  • Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality
  • Plan stock inventory by checking stock to determine the amount available; anticipate upcoming needs
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions, all under the direction of the maintenance department
  • Roll up your sleeves and build really cool doors! (This is not an office job.)
