About The Position

The CNC Press Brake Technician is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating press brake equipment to bend and form metal parts according to engineering specifications. This role requires strong mechanical skills, experience in sheet metal fabrication, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards for quality and safety.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience operating CNC press brake equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience working with materials such as galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and solid math abilities
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, twisting, and squatting for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions, including hot and cold environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with graphical CNC interfaces
  • Strong organizational skills and situational awareness
  • Background in lean manufacturing or process improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Set up press brake machines, load or retrieve programs, and select appropriate tooling
  • Perform quality inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Maintain accurate production and job records
  • Program CNC controls for bending light-gauge panels
  • Work independently and make informed decisions during fabrication processes
